Claremont is looking to add an experienced full-time Construction Equipment Mechanic to our growing construction company. Our Construction Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing any mechanical problems for all local job sites.

The person we are looking for will need to meet or exceed all on the following list of requirements to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

-Must have a minimum 5 years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical problems including but not limited to, man-lifts, forklifts, telehandlers, generators, boom lift, dump trailer, enclosed trailers, flatbed trailer, 18-wheeler trailers, light towers, and freightliner trucks.
-Must be able to operate and inspect various types of construction equipment to diagnose defects.
-Must have strong troubleshooting skills.
-Must be able to read and interpret basic mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
-Ability to diagnose and repair problems using service manuals.
-Must have experience using hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools.
-Possess a strong knowledge of methods, techniques, and procedures involved in maintenance, repair and replacement of parts.
-Examines parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges.
-Perform periodic inspections on the structural components.
-Read, understand, and interpret operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints and technical drawings.
-Tests mechanical, electronic, electrical and hydraulic products and equipment after repair or modification to ensure proper operation and compliance with OEM specifications.
-Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision
-Conform to safety requirements, manufacturer procedures, and other regulations.
-Inspect and verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to factory specifications.
-Properly complete work reports, hour’s reports, time sheets, hour’s overviews, work orders, and expense reports.
-Perform diagnosis, repair, and reconditioning of machine systems and components as needed.
-Perform planned maintenance and inspections.
-Operate and test repaired equipment and confirm that specifications are met.
-Ability to read, understand, interpret and apply hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical schematic diagram information for troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair.

Qualifications and Skills

• 5 years prior experience in repairing mechanical problems
• Must have strong troubleshooting skills
• Capable of accomplishing task independently without direct supervision.
• Properly complete work reports, hour's reports, time sheets, work orders, and expense reports.

Compensation and Benefits

    Compensation: $25 - $30 Hourly
